Meet Suellyn
I am a mixed media artist based in the picturesque Hunter Valley, NSW, with a background in graphic design and publishing. After running my own company for many years, I shifted my focus to my art practice in 2020, embracing my passion for creativity.
I particularly enjoy working with acrylics, collage, inks, and various printmaking techniques, along with digital methods. I love to experiment with traditional and non-traditional art materials and incorporate a multi-disciplinary approach to my practice. My work explores texture, depth, and bold colour, inviting viewers into a sensory experience that challenges conventional boundaries.
A significant milestone in my artistic journey was being selected as one of 16 artists for the Liddell Works artist residency in 2023. This creative program aimed to honour the legacy of the Liddell Power Station and capture its transformation through art. In June 2024, I had the privilege of exhibiting my work at Singleton Art Gallery, where it was then purchased by AGL Energy.
